  CRC /CRSA HILLETIN, Vol. 20 Issue 12, July 2009

2008/2009 In Review 2008/2009 school year has come to an end. The year went rather fast. We had some landmark victories.I must thank God almighty for His unparallel love for us in ChristHill. God is Good.

BRESCAG COMPETITIONS:Our final outing in this competition saw us winning the best overall trophy and some individual events.

REDEEMER’S DAY 2009:It was a glorious occasion where once again we came first overall, and first in the march past where our marching band in royal blue did us all proud. They did so well that we were invited by Daddy G.O to be a part of the opening ceremony of the RCCG National Convention on August 4th, 2009.

CLASS OF NEW BREED 2009 GRADUATION:The class of New Breed graduated on Saturday July 11, 2009. They are our eighth set of graduating students, and to the glory of God, every time we hear of our graduands, its good news. We know that these ones will do us proud and soar to great heights in life, they are indeed a New Breed.

MAY 29 Celebrating the New Nigerian Child:Thank you all so much for your support in celebrating Nigeria with us. We hope and pray that the spirit of the day will continue to influence how we raise our children.

MOTHERS FORUM:we had our first mothers forum this session, we hope to have another in the new year.

FATHERS FORUM:I apologise most sincerely for the cancellation of the Dad's forum, circumstances made the day untenable. The next planned day will be glorious.

SCHOOL MATTERS:When we first began CRC, we set out with some very specific goals, which thirteen years on we have not stopped believing in. College rules all have a purpose in the lives of the students and we expect everyone of them to be kept.

CONTRABAND:More and more students are coming to school with contrabands. Food items, extra clothing, electronics, camera, money etc. while I recognize that quite a few parents have no idea what their children are up to nevertheless, parents please we need your co-operation-school life is about maintaining a routine.

VISITING DAYS Protocol:In recent times our visiting days have acquired a rather unbelievable quality. Our college motto as regards visiting seems to have been sidetracked 1 Cor. 14:40. Parents if we are to make a difference in the lives of these children we must model what is right all the time. Visiting days are the 3rd Saturday of the months we are in school. Parents who have official business with the school should not turn such times into visiting times. Furthermore, parents should please contain their visits to the specified areas. Parents walking around the premises during visiting causes a great deal of issues, especially issues of contraband.

Mobile Phones we have noticed that visiting Parents allow other children access to their phones to call their parents, on the surface this seems totally innocent but parents should help us to constrain these incidents, too much negative information is being passed around.

Jss3 GHANA/TOGO TRIP:Some of our JSS 3 students went on a trip to Ghana/Togo after their examination. The experience has been a most disturbing one. My students actually disappointed me in their behaviour. We continue to investigate some of the activities of the boys in particular. Parents should please find out from their children what they bought and how they generally spent their money. If your child has an unexplained item kindly let us know. Boys will be boys they say, but we are first and foremost children of God. Some of my girls also were not well comported on the trip.

JSS 3 & SS 3 FEES:SS 3 & JSS 3 Tuition and Boarding for the whole session will be paid twice (September & January) Examination fees for the two classes & graduation for SS 3 have been included. We appeal to parents please help us all by ensuring that all fees are paid at the appropriate time.

FOREIGN STUDENTS TRANSFER EXAMINATION: Wednesday, 2nd - Friday 4th September 2009.

UNIFORM COLLECTION FOR NEW STUDENTS: Wednesday, 2nd - Friday 4th September 2009 Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm.

Finally, as I close this school year I wish to thank you all for your kind support all year through. Thank you for your prayers, more than anything else they count the most. Thank you all and God bless you. See you in 2009/2010 session.
