The department of Science came into existence just as the College graduated her first set of Junior students into Senior school, as a result of an outstanding performance in the 1999 Ogun State JSCE.

The department of Science gave birth to the Vocational and Technical departments in the college. The the subjects available in the department are:

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Biology
• Mathematics
• Integrated Science and
• P.H.E. (Physical & Health Education)

  The department has over fifteen staff, Laboratory technologist inclusive. Academically, from the inception, the department has had a consistent, excellent performance in external examinationS: JSCE and SSCE (WAEC & NECO).

  The department has well-equiped laboratories of international standard. Students are exposed to real and intensive practical work. Good performance in the practicals is a prerequiste for passing the science subjects. Science students in CRC are among the best in the country.

  Some achievements of the department are:

• Second position in 2005 Cowbell Mathematics competition (Junior category) won by Yemisi Oyeleke.

• Winner, JETS project competition at the zonal level won by Nathan Olufemi and Ohunyon Osekpamen.

• Second place National JETS projects competition won by Adelanwa Adesanya and Kehinde Ilesanmi
